What is the Collactive Web Assistant?
Collactive Web Assistant is a browser add-on that delivers real time alerts on key topics issued by your chosen organization. The assistant also helps you register, log in and remember your accounts on various web sites that this organization needs your support at.

How do I receive real time alerts?
When the organization you downloaded the Collactive Web Assistant from issues a new alert, you will see a visual indication and you will be able to view the alert and take action.

I saw an alert, how to I take action?
When you see a new alert, simply click it and you will be taken to the action page.

I missed an alert. Can I still take action?
You can take action even if you missed an alert or didn’t have the time to act on it when it first appeared.
After an alert disappears, a headline containing the alert’s title is shown near the Collactive Web Assistant’s toolbar icon. Simply click the title to take action.

How can I see previous and historical alerts?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Manage My Alerts.
- Click on the View details link near the organization you wish to view past alerts from.
- Click on Latest Alerts.

How can I stop receiving alerts?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Options and then uncheck the Show alerts.
- check it back to re-enable it.

I use the Collactive Web Assistant with two different organizations. How can I stop receiving alerts from just one of them?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Manage My Alerts.
- Click on the View details link near the organization you wish to stop receiving alerts from.
- Click on Remove alert feed link.

How does the account management work?
Collactive Web Assistant makes it easy for you to manage all those accounts you need to open and remember on the web.
It helps you register and login to major Web 2.0 sites while surfing the web, freeing you from remembering cryptic user names, passwords and login methods.
Used from within a Collactive APB, the Collactive Web Assistant also automates actions that you perform in Web 2.0 sites such as voting for your favorite video or news article.

How do I register to a supported site?
If you're already browsing a supported site, just click the Collactive Web Assistant icon. Otherwise, access the Collactive Web Assistant menu and click Manage My Accounts. From there, choose Register NEW account and select the site you want to register to.

How do I know if the site I'm in is supported by Collactive Web Assistant?
When browsing a supported site, the Collactive Web Assistant icon turns to to signal you're in a supported site. Right-clicking on the icon will show you what you can do.

I already have an account on a site, can I use it with Collactive Web Assistant?
Sure you can. Just register as above, and choose "I'd like to use an existing account". If you are already logged in to the site, Collactive Web Assistant will detect this and skip straight to getting your account details. You will be prompted for the details of your existing account. Collactive Web Assistant will save your password on your computer and use it to log in to the site.

What is auto-login and what can I use it for?
When browsing a site you have an account for, Collactive Web Assistant can detect that you have been logged out, , and log you back in.

How can I disable automatic login?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Options and then uncheck the Automatically login to supported sites.

How can I know the actual username and password used for a site?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Manage My Accounts.
- Click on View details for the site whose account you want to view.
- To see the password, click on Click to show password.

How can I delete an account?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Manage My Accounts.
- Click on View details for the site whose account you want to delete.
- Click on Delete account.

How can I disable Collactive Web Assistant?
- Go to the Collactive Web Assistant menu (right-click on the Collactive Web Assistant icon).
- Click on Options and then uncheck the Web Assistant enabled.
- check it back to re-enable it.

Which platforms and browsers are supported?
The Collactive Web Assistant is a toolbar that can work in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Platforms supported:

- Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0.

How do I uninstall the Collactive Web Assistant Add-on?
Internet Explorer
- Go to Control Panel.
- Click on 'Add or Remove Programs'.
- Find Collactive Web Assistant and click Remove.
Firefox
- Go to Tools.
- Depending on your Firefox version:
- On Firefox 2.0 click on 'Add-ons.
- On Firefox 1.5 click on Extensions.
- Select Collactive Web Assistant and click on Uninstall.
